Okay, back to the trip.
It was a day with bright sunlight and intense heat breaking though low lying thunder clouds. All around bolts of lightening flashed to the ground. It was cool. It was scary. It was almost as if the sun and lightening were dancing with each other.

We had planned to sleep in the bed of the truck in the campground. We’d be outside under the stars, oak, cottonwood and pine trees (with bats). We’d be able to sleep next to the Virgin River thirty feet away. $11 a night, can't beat that!

We decided it might not be a good idea.
