| My sister-in-law Jewell,
and I were close. These pictures were taken at her daughter's birthday party
inside a skating rink. The year before, the party was held at the same place,
except Jewell was alive at that time. She died unexpectedly three weeks after
the last party. I thought about Jewell as I walked around taking pictures of all
of the cousins and how we had skated around with the kids the year before,
laughing and enjoying the activities. These pictures were taken in sequence.
As I look through these pictures,
I can see faces in some of them. Do you? Once someone wrote me and asked if
Jewell had blonde hair. I lost the email and was never able to answer him. Thing
is, she did. I don't know how he knew that. |
| This was taken standing on the
sidelines of the ice rink. You can barely see the people on the ice, filtered
through the ectoplasm. The place does have overhead lights which you can see on
the upper right of the photo. The rest... is spirit energy, |
| All the other pictures that I
took that day came out clearly. These five on this page are totally different.
They remind me of that one scene in "Poltergeist", where the spirits
come down the stairway into the livingroom. |
| This was Jewell's husband, I
think she was being polite and let me get a sorta good picture of him. |
| Now for the really trippy ones!
These last two show Jewell coming into focus. You can see a form of a person,
kinda like Casper the Ghost, flying toward the camera. Smack in the middle. Face
first, arms at their side? Can you see it? The shape of a head, two arms
outstretched and an upper torso. |
| This is Jewell. Her arms are
outstretched too. It looks like her hair is on top of her head. She's also shows
a pink flowing gown. You can see the tips of her feet. It struck me, because her
favorite color was pink. Isn't she beautiful? |
